Role Overview
As a Data Engineer, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as the data expert of the implementation process. Your role includes identifying data requirements, creating optimal data migration processes, and advising clients on how to create repeatable ETL processes.
Your focus will include technical & product support, project management and business analytics. Our fast-paced environment demands adaptability, curiosity and an unyielding attitude towards delivering the best possible experience to MindBridge customers.
What You will Do
- Advise clients on how to drive standardization and best practices for data structures, quality, reuse
- Lead the end-to-end data ETL process from a customer's ERP system into MindBridge
- Develop an understanding of ERP financial data models to automate and manage complex ETL jobs
- Extract, format and shape financial data
- Troubleshoot, provide work-arounds, and permanent fixes to data issues
- Develop & maintain internal and external facing templates and documentation, including data requirements, process, flow diagrams, and mapping
- Design data pipelines for internal analytics, management reports and dashboards
- Be the data ingestion product expert and stay up-to-date on new features
- Provide feedback and influence the product decisions based on customers' needs
- Cross-functionally collaborate with customer success, support, product management, development, and data scientists to provide innovative client solutions
- Provide a data expert's lens to roadmap discussions to ensure future feature additions are software/release testing as required
What You Bring
- Comfortable manipulating datasets with Python
- Comfortable with creating API requests
- Are proficient with Microsoft Excel, Python, SQL and Project Management software
- Have a positive attitude, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and team-oriented
- Have excellent interpersonal communication skills and are comfortable speaking with developers, data scientists, product managers and business leaders
- Are focused on optimizing customer experience
- Champion change and seek new and better ways to solve problems
- Adjust priorities on the fly and thrive in a fast-paced environment and culture
- May be required to travel to the US, UK and EU
- Are willing to support client requirements that, on occasion, fall outside of normal business hours
Desired education and experience:
- 5+ years of experience of using SQL and Python building and shaping structured/semi-structured datasets
- 5+ year’s experience working on projects and have advanced experience with ETL, data lakes, as well as data analysis and profiling, mapping, modeling, and analytics
- 5+ year’s experience providing customer service, consulting, or support in a software/technology company
- 5+ years of experience with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, Netsuite, Sage, SAP, etc)
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including VBA and macros
- Computer Science/ Accounting/Business degree or equivalent experience required
- Previous experience in accounting/audit considered a strong asset
Requirements Contingent on Employment:
- Fulfill requirements necessary to obtain and clear a full background check
Pay Range
The expected base salary range for this position is to $90,000 to $110,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills, experience and competencies, and unique qualifications.
