The Director will lead the Manager of Supply Chain while collaborating closely with engineering, finance, operations, quality, fulfillment, and executive leadership to drive enterprise-wide outcomes.

The ideal candidate combines strategic foresight, global supply chain expertise, and hands-on leadership in a fast-paced, scaling hardware environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Develop and own the long-term global supply chain strategy aligned with company growth, new product introduction (NPI) process, and global expansion.
  • Partner with the COO and the ELT to define supply chain KPIs, scalability targets, and cost structures that position BinSentry as an operational leader in AgTech.
  • Build supply chain resilience through multi-sourcing strategies, geographic diversification, and risk-mitigation frameworks.
  • Lead strategic planning for capacity, inventory, and supplier readiness to support rapid production scaling.
  • Guide supply chain technology roadmap (ERP/MRP upgrades, forecasting systems, analytics tools) and implementation utilizing Odoo
  • Serve as the executive voice for supply chain in quarterly planning, board discussions, and strategic projects.

Process Architecture & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish supply chain policies, governance standards, and best practices across procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier quality.
  • Build scalable workflows enabling predictable manufacturing, global distribution, and real-time inventory visibility.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies — targeting efficiency gains, cost reductions, and quality improvements.
  • Oversee the supply chain audit program ensuring compliance, performance tracking, and accountability across all nodes.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for systemic issues impacting production or delivery, working with Production, Engineering, Finance, and other key stakeholders.

Supplier, Sourcing & Contract Manufacturing Strategy

  • Own global sourcing strategy, including supplier selection, qualification, and performance management.
  • Negotiate high-impact contracts, cost-down initiatives, long-term agreements (LTAs), and partnership models with key suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Develop supplier scorecards, QBR structure, and long-term partnership strategies to ensure quality, cost, and delivery excellence.
  • Identify opportunities for vertical integration, strategic alliances, or innovation partnerships to strengthen hardware competitiveness.
  • Oversee management of the Approved Supplier List (ASL), ensuring compliance and effective lifecycle management.

Operational Excellence & Execution

  • Ensure the end-to-end supply chain runs efficiently, transparently, and predictably — from purchase order to final fulfillment, including product flow through production and delivery.
  • Oversee inventory strategy, min/max rules, safety stock models, and demand planning.
  • Support contract manufacturer performance with structured communication, readiness planning, and issue escalation paths.
  • Lead major operational initiatives such as ERP optimization, logistics redesign, or warehouse footprint planning.
  • Own the order to pay process with key approvals ensuring robust controls.
  • Integrate forecasting data, customer demand trends, and operational analytics to improve planning accuracy and cost efficiency.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Manager of Supply Chain and broader team as the department scales.
  • Build an organizational structure capable of supporting global growth — including procurement, planning, logistics, and supplier quality.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, operational excellence, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.
  • Strengthen cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Finance, Operations, Quality, and Customer Support.

Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree strongly preferred.

Experience

  • Deep experience with contract manufacturing (domestic and international).
  • Proven success designing and scaling end-to-end supply chain systems for high-growth companies.
  • Strong negotiating skills and experience with global sourcing, supplier management, and long-cycle procurement.
  • Demonstrated success with Lean, Six Sigma, or formal continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing ERP/MRP systems. Odoo experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management capabilities.
