Reporting to the Eastern Region Customer Service Manager, the Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of bulk gas supply systems. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to work on food freezing equipment and its installation and piping.

Field Service Technician (full time)

Reporting to the Eastern Region Customer Service Manager, the Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of bulk gas supply systems. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to work on food freezing equipment and its installation and piping.
What you will enjoy doing*
- You will report to the Eastern Region Customer Service Manager and be responsible for the installation and maintenance of bulk gas supply systems
- Work on food freezing equipment, and piping installation
- Utilize your knowledge of pipe and gas fitting to install, modify, and maintain gas systems safely and efficiently
- In addition, you will read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to plan and execute work accurately
- Apply basic knowledge of cryogenic equipment in the installation and servicing of systems
- Perform welding and brazing tasks as required to support system installation and repair is part of your role
- Troubleshoot electronic and computer-operated controls and instrumentation to diagnose and resolve issues
- You will manage contractors on-site and coordinate project objectives to ensure work is completed on time, on budget, and to Linde’s standards
- You have a post-secondary education in a related discipline (C.E.T.) or Journeyman status in Electrical, Instrumentation, Refrigeration, Welding, or another related trade
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience working with atmospheric / cryogenic gases and related equipment is considered an asset
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel are required in this role
- You have the ability to follow verbal and written technical instructions and prepare clear technical reports
- Availability for after-hours service calls and overtime as required, and comfortable to be away from home for up to two weeks at a time as travel to Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador is required 50% of the time
- Ability to work independently and service a territory with minimal or no direct supervision
- Physically able to perform work in a predominantly outdoor environment and lift up to 70 pounds
- Also, you have demonstrated effective interpersonal and job-related communication skills, strong safety awareness, and a professional image aligned with the position’s dress code
