Essential Duties And Responsibilities

GENERAL FUNCTION

Operates sewing machine to attach label to quilted panel.

Specific Responsibilities

• Place label on guide in Porter Automatic Label Machine.
• Align panel on table within designated size guides.
• Activate machine and sew label to panel.
• Sew label by using standard sewing machine is also required.
• As required; add thread; replace needles; oil machine; fix thread breaks.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Observe stitching to detect defects and repair accordingly. All stitches must be in a uniform line on label

• Notify Production Supervisor when defects are caused by machine malfunction.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
  
  

Functional/Technical Competencies

Experience/Education

• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Basic Math skills are required
• Production line experience helpful, but not required
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, repetitively in a safe manner.
