Job Description

UPS is currently looking for Part-time Local Sorters to work from our Fraser Valley Package Facility

  • Position Title: Local Sorters
  • Position Type: Permanent Part-time
  • Work Hours: 5:30PM – 9:30PM*
  • Workdays: Monday to Friday*
  • Location: 790 Belgrave Way, Delta BC
  • Shift schedules may vary based on operational requirements

Responsibilities

Local Sorters are responsible for unloading and loading packages off and on trailers, air canisters, and other vehicles. Other responsibilities may include:

  • Lifting, lowering, and moving of packages weighing between 10 to 70lbs.
  • Handling packages weighing up to 150lbs.
  • Scanning and sorting packages based on postal codes, addresses, package dimensions
  • Understanding and recognizing postal codes, routing charts and maps
  • Standing closely with conveyor, roller belts and other equipment in the warehouse
  • Washing package cars to ensure cleanliness

Qualifications

  • Available to work Monday to Friday*
  • Ability to follow set of safety and standard procedures
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment
  • Able to regularly and safely lift packages up to 70-lbs unassisted
  • Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
  • Warehouse experience is considered an asset but not required.
