Manager, Product Ownership
Jonas Club Software
Date: 6 hours ago
City: Markham, ON
Contract type: Full time
Job Description:
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Manager of Product Ownership to bring consistency, operational excellence, and execution discipline to our product organization. Our software supports the full operational lifecycle of premier private member clubs — from dining, events, and activity bookings to finance, reservations, websites, and mobile experiences. While each product serves distinct workflows and audiences, delivery quality and operational integrity must be consistent across the ecosystem.
This role is a manager level position within the product team, reporting directly to the Chief Experience Officer. The Manager of Product Ownership maintains direct oversight of our Product Owners, ensuring that priorities are translated into clear, actionable work, backlogs are execution‑ready, and releases meet a consistent bar for quality, readiness, and adoption.
This role is not passive or purely managerial. It requires someone who leads from the front, is comfortable driving change, and can evolve processes as the organization matures. You will play a central role in professionalizing how Product Ownership operates, raising expectations, and supporting Product Owners through change while maintaining delivery momentum.
A key competency of this role will be to embrace our AI‑Driven Development Lifecycle (AI‑DLC) to transform how we build software. This concept combines human expertise with AI to accelerate discovery, design, and delivery. Product Managers and Product Owners play a central role by using AI tools to rapidly develop insights, shape requirements, then collaborate closely with Engineering to bring innovative solutions to market with greater speed and precision.
If you are energized by building strong operating foundations, coaching Product Owners, and creating clarity where complexity exists, this role offers the opportunity to shape how product delivery happens across the organization.

- Balance stability with evolution, ensuring improvements enhance delivery rather than disrupt it
- 7+ years of experience in product, delivery, or product ownership roles, with experience directly managing Product Owners
- Deep understanding of Product Owner responsibilities including backlog ownership, requirement quality, and release readiness
- Proven ability to bring structure and consistency to execution‑oriented teams
- Strong change management skills and comfort leading teams through evolving processes
- Clear communicator who can set expectations, give constructive feedback, and resolve ambiguity
