Salary Range: $46,251 - $57,812 per annum

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to Assistant Director, Strategic Marketing, Sales & Communication, the Media Production Specialist provides specialized expertise in media and multimedia production to support institutional marketing and engagement goals. The role is responsible for producing high-quality visual, video, and multimedia content that brings programs and learner stories to life across digital platforms and campaigns. Through close collaboration with marketing and digital campaign colleagues, the Media Production Specialist ensures creative assets are brand-aligned, audience-focused, and optimized to support enrollment, engagement, and retention efforts.

Translate campaign objectives, program information, and institutional priorities into compelling visual and multimedia narratives.
Apply professional judgment to creative direction, format selection, and storytelling approaches.
Ensure all materials meet UNB brand standards, visual identity guidelines, accessibility requirements, and quality expectations.
Manage the full production lifecycle, including concept development, scripting, filming, editing, post-production, and final delivery.
Adapt content for use across websites, CRM communications, social media, and paid and organic campaigns.
Develop, build, and execute CRM-based communication campaigns in collaboration with marketing and recruitment teams.
Create and deploy email and learner communications using advanced HTML, responsive design, and system-specific coding or markup.
Test, troubleshoot, and optimize layouts and functionality across devices and browsers to ensure accuracy, usability, and campaign effectiveness.
Collaborate with the Digital Campaigns Specialist and Strategic Marketing, Sales & Communication team to support campaign planning and execution.
Anticipate media production needs, manage timelines, and deliver campaign-ready assets under tight deadlines.
Provide input on production feasibility, creative approaches, workload prioritization, and resource requirements while managing multiple concurrent projects.
Manage, organize, and maintain digital media assets and production systems across cloud platforms, CRM environments, and content repositories.
Establish and improve production workflows, templates, and technical standards to support efficiency, scalability, and quality control.
Apply advanced expertise in media production tools, CRM systems, coding standards, and emerging digital formats to solve complex production challenges.
Monitor evolving technologies, platform requirements, and accessibility standards, and recommend improvements to enhance production capability and support marketing objectives.
Provide technical guidance and subject-matter expertise on media production systems and tools within the team.
Stay current on active digital campaigns and support the Digital Campaigns Specialist as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

Post secondary diploma in media production, digital communications, multimedia, graphic design, or a related technical field.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in media production or a closely related field, with a demonstrated track record of producing high-quality multimedia content for digital environments.

Additional Strengths

Experience in hands-on responsibility for end-to-end media production activities such as video productions, visual design, digital content creation, including planning, execution, editing, and final delivery.
Practical expertise in producing campaign-ready assets, managing multiple production requests, meeting deadlines and applying technical judgement in real-world production settings.
Experience working within marketing, communications, or campaign-based environments - particularly in support of recruitment, engagement or audience-focused initiatives is required.
Experience involving CRM‑based communications, HTML‑driven content builds, platform‑specific asset optimization, and collaborative production workflows is considered a significant asset.
Advanced technical proficiency in multimedia and digital production tools, including video editing, visual design applications, and CRM communication systems requiring HTML and responsive email design.
Working knowledge of digital accessibility standards as applied to video, visual, and email content.
Strong project management, organization, and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet fixed deadlines.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders and work productively with cross‑functional teams.
Demonstrated attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and professional judgment in troubleshooting and quality assurance.
Relevant professional or platform‑based certifications are considered assets.
