About The Role
This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer or engineering graduate who enjoys understanding how mechanical components are designed, manufactured, assembled, and inspected.
You will work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Suppliers to investigate manufacturing issues, inspect components, review drawings and tolerances, and support improvements to product quality and manufacturability.

You will work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Suppliers to investigate manufacturing issues, inspect components, review drawings and tolerances, and support improvements to product quality and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities
- Review SolidWorks models, engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
- Investigate mechanical, dimensional, and manufacturing quality issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and assist in developing practical engineering solutions.
- Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and new product introductions.
- Perform dimensional inspections using appropriate measuring equipment.
- Develop inspection procedures, checklists, and quality documentation.
- Support NCR, CAPA, and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
- Work with Engineering to improve tolerances, manufacturability, and overall product quality.
- Investigate supplier non-conformances and assist with corrective actions.
- Recommend design, manufacturing, process, or inspection improvements to reduce defects.
- Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and other engineering and quality documentation.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 0-3 years of relevant engineering, manufacturing, or quality experience.
- Recent graduates and candidates with co-op, internship, student design team, machining, fabrication, or other hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
- Understanding of dimensions, tolerances, fits, and basic GD&T.
- Familiarity with dimensional inspection and measuring equipment.
- Understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience or exposure to any of the following would be an asset:
- Machining
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Aluminum extrusions
- Injection molding
- ERP systems
- Quality management systems
