Security Guard - RCMP Call Centre (Casual)

Commissionaires BC is currently looking for casual on-call security guards for an RCMP Call Centre/document centre site in Kelowna.
Position hours: Casual - flexible availability preferred
Wage: $22.97 per hour
Please be aware that this role requires an RCMP Reliability Clearance, which can take up to six months to obtain. We ask that only candidates who are prepared to remain engaged throughout the clearance process and associated waiting period submit an application.
Some of your responsibilities include:
Commissionaires BC is a Canadian, not-for-profit security/enforcement organization that has been in business since 1927. Our mandate is to give back to those who served and continue to serve in our communities and country. Commissionaires provides security services for over 200 sites and are located in over 110 communities across the province. Our client base runs from the Federal Government to local municipalities, airports, industrial sectors, and commercial/residential buildings. Our guards are not only behind the scenes providing security and access control, but front and centre providing valued customer service to the public.

Some of your responsibilities include:
- Static front desk security control/access control
- Escorting site visitors
- Perform regular exterior and interior building patrols
- General administration duties
- Report all incidences to the Site Supervisor and provide investigation report
- A valid BC Security License
- A valid Basic First Aid (OFA 1) certificate
- Have resided in Canada for 5+ years and be a resident or PR for clearance purposes
- Willing to go through RCMP clearance process
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Prior security experience in a similar environment
