Senior UX Designer - 16 Month Contract

The ideal candidate is someone who can own a problem from start to finish and enjoys working on every aspect of the User Experience. Including, but not limited to research, concept work, high fidelity mockups,and interactive code prototypes. We are looking for a senior designer who thinks like a product person: someone who can take an ambiguous problem, commit to a direction early, and iterate their way to the right answer.

What you should have:

• Strong product thinking — you reason about the user's job to be done and the business outcome. You’re comfortable with product strategy, journey mapping, prototyping and user testing. You’re confident in deciding which of those a given problem actually needs.
• Skilled in crafting easy to use and well-considered designs, with strengths in visual and interaction design - and the judgement to know when the design is good enough to ship.
• You design and build with AI. You use AI tooling as a core part of how you explore, prototype and deliver, and you're actively figuring out what it changes about the craft.
• Comfort with ambiguity and complexity. You can set a clear direction before all the answers are in, and you treat that direction as a starting point rather than a commitment.
• Experience designing data-dense products. Our users are looking at errors, sessions, funnels, conversion, revenue impact and so much more side by side and deciding what to act on — you're able to take genuinely complex data and make it legible enough to drive a decision, without flattening what matters.
• Great communication skills; you actively seek out opportunities to collaborate with other disciplines.
  
  

What you'll be doing:

• Designing features and improvements that are high quality, and ship quickly.
• Using and evolving our internal design system.
• Designing new features from scratch and iterating on existing features to improve them.
• Choosing the right tool for the job, including building design or code prototypes to explore and validate your ideas.
• Working closely with PMs, Devs and other designers to raise the team's ability to make high quality design decisions quickly and consistently to keep squads moving.
• Speaking with customers to understand their jobs, their motivations, and their challenges to help us design an impactful product.
• Working with one or more engineering squads to shape and mature a fast-evolving product — including designing for supervised AI agents, where the interface question is how a retailer reviews, trusts and approves work the agents did on their own.
• Design work nobody nobody has solved yet of how a retailer trusts and approves autonomous work
