Job Purpose
GSK is looking to hire a Territory Manager to join our Respiratory Care Division. This role is a field-based role and reports directly to the District Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will reside in Ottawa, ON.
As a Territory Manager you will be responsible for managing a primary-care territory, building strong partnerships with healthcare professionals, and driving business growth in a market with evolving patient care dynamics.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:
- Develop and execute territory business plans and customer-specific sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales objectives within the Respiratory Division, setting short-term objectives that support long-term business goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, deliver customer value, and drive business growth through effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Integrate product, clinical, and competitive knowledge into meaningful customer conversations that provide valuable insights, enhance the patient experience, differentiate GSK products, and inspire customer action.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of GSK products, brand strategies, positioning, and competitive offerings, while applying insights into patient and healthcare professional journeys to tailor customer engagements.
- Effectively manage territory resources and budget, leveraging the right channels, tools, and internal and external resources to maximize customer impact and business results.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and make timely, ethical decisions that support business objectives and organizational success.
- Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment by embracing continuous learning, adapting to change, and building positive working relationships.
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional sales experience.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation, with a business-owner mindset and the ability to identify and capitalize on customer and business opportunities.
- Exceptional active listening skills with the ability to adapt communication and sales approaches to meet diverse customer needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and persuasively across multiple channels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change by embracing agility, continuous improvement, and a positive, results-oriented mindset.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams, fostering strong relationships and contributing to shared business objectives.
- Strong organizational, time management, and territory planning skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and coordinate activities across a geographic territory.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems (Veeva iRep), and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel.
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Previous pharmaceutical sales experience, with a proven track record of success in a highly competitive sales environment, is an asset.
- Strong ability to interpret and communicate scientific research and clinical data in a compelling and compliant manner to support customer, patient, and business needs.
- Experience leveraging data analysis and business insights to optimize territory performance and inform strategic decision-making.
- This position requires the employee to drive routinely on company business and allows for the provision of a company-leased vehicle. However, to be eligible for this position and a company vehicle, GSK will need to obtain acceptable results from a license verification inquiry and drivers abstract review against its safe driver program requirements***
