Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator (Full time)

Gillfor Distribution has an opening for a full-time Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate at our London location. As part of our Lumber Yard team at our London Distribution Centre, you will work in a team environment reporting directly to our Yard Supervisor. This is a 6 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. Monday to Friday role.

Expectations

• Accurate and efficient order picking and packing
• Material handling and inventory management
• Assist in loading orders onto customer trucks
• Inventory cycle counts and spot checks
• Assist in keeping a tidy and organized lumber yard
• Compliance to all work safety rules and regulations
• Politeness to customers and truck drivers who are picking up or dropping off orders
  
  

Ideal Attributes

• Strong team work and time management is required
• High School Diploma
• Forklift experience in an outdoor setting an asset
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds if necessary
• Knowledge of the building materials industry is an asset
• Able to work in outdoor conditions
• Flexibility with start and finish times
• Reliable and punctual
• Self-Motivated and able to work without supervision
