Job Title: Warehouse Shipping & Receiving

Department: Warehouse

Location: Burnaby

Basic Purpose

Reporting to the GM, the Warehouse Associate is primarily responsible for receiving, organizing, tracking, and distributing inventory, consumables, and samples required to support laboratory operations. The role maintains accurate inventory records within the SDE Flex system and provides operational support across departments as required.

Key Accountability/Responsibilities

• Load and unload samples and consumables manually or using material handling equipment.
• Receive, log, track, and store samples in LIMS/Sorby in accordance with established procedures.
• Receive, pick, and distribute consumables using purchasing and inventory applications while
  
  

following company policies.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory count activities.
• Ensure dangerous goods are received, handled, and transported in compliance with TDG
  
  

regulations.

• Operate and maintain warehouse equipment according to written instructions.
• Comply with all company policies, occupational health and safety regulations, laboratory safety
  
  

procedures, and Quality System SOP requirements.

• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and perform work safely and professionally.
• Collaborate with laboratory personnel and other departments to support operational requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Skills And Competencies

• Inventory management and materials handling.
• Working knowledge of LIMS, Sorby, SDE Flex, and inventory tracking systems.
• Safe operation of forklifts and basic material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) requirements.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License or equivalent.
• Recordkeeping and data entry accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Inventory management and materials handling.
• Working knowledge of LIMS, Sorby, SDE Flex, and inventory tracking systems.
• Safe operation of forklifts and basic material handling equipment.

Education, Certifications, And Experience

• Minimum completion of high school education.
• Forklift certification and hazardous goods handling/transportation certification considered an asset;
  
  

training provided.

• Experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, or a related environment
  
  

preferred.

Physical And Environmental Conditions

• Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and manual material handling.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials, including repeated lifting of up to 50
  
  

lbs.

• Operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Work performed in a warehouse and laboratory support environment.
• Exposure to samples, consumables, warehouse traffic, and varying indoor environmental
  
  

conditions.

• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures.

Bureau Veritas is proud to be committed to providing fair and competitive pay. The salary range for this role is $20/hr - $24/hr Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,  experience, and market location.
