Who You Are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking an Associate Vice President, Go-To-Market who will be responsible for building and leading the company's Go-To-Market (GTM) function from the ground up. This strategic and operational leader will establish, standardize, and orchestrate the end-to-end process for launching new products, features, and solutions effectively and cohesively across the organization. What You'll Do:

The Associate Vice President, Go-To-Market is critical in driving alignment across Marketing, Product, Sales, Pricing, Promotion Revenue Operations, and Partner Channels to ensure successful market introduction, adoption, and accelerated revenue generation for Geotab's innovative offerings. This role will create the strategy, framework, processes, and eventually the team required to significantly improve Geotab’s product launch capabilities, ensuring readiness across all internal teams and external channel partners.

How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Develop, own, and champion the master GTM strategy, process, and playbook for Geotab.
  • Lead GTM planning cycles for upcoming product/solution releases, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, product roadmaps, and revenue goals.
  • Facilitate regular cross-functional GTM readiness meetings, proactively manage dependencies, identify risks, and drive resolution of roadblocks to ensure on-time, high-impact launches.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Marketing to ensure messaging, positioning, and launch assets are aligned with the GTM plan and effectively support sales and partner enablement.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership, Channel Teams, Partner Program, Revenue Operations, Sales Enablement to define launch-specific sales targets, enablement requirements, compensation considerations, and reporting needs. Develop and oversee the execution of channel and direct sales team readiness plan, ensuring they are informed, trained, and incentivized.
  • Work with Marketing teams (Demand Gen, Corporate Comms, Content, Regional/Channel / Field marketing) to ensure launch activities are integrated into broader campaigns and communication strategies.
  • Work with Product Management and Operations teams to ensure product, supply chain, etc. readiness in alignment with GTM plan.
  • Define key success metrics for launches (e.g., pipeline generation, adoption rates, revenue attainment, partner engagement, time-to-revenue) and establish dashboards/reporting mechanisms with Rev Ops.
  • Conduct post-launch reviews (post-mortems) to gather cross-functional feedback, identify lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement of the GTM process.
  • Act as a key conduit, providing structured market, sales, and partner feedback from launch activities back into the product development lifecycle.
  • Recruit, onboard, manage, coach, and develop the GTM team members as the function scales.
  • Manage the GTM budget and resource allocation for launch activities.

What You’ll Bring To This Role:

  • Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in related fields may be substituted.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is an asset.
  • 12 years of progressive experience in relevant fields such as Go-To-Market, Product Marketing, Product Management, Program Management, Sales Operations, or Revenue Operations within the technology sector.
  • GTM Expertise: Deep understanding and a proven track record of developing, implementing, and managing successful GTM strategies and launch processes for complex technology products/services, ideally within a B2B SaaS, IoT, hardware, or telematics context.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence: Exceptional ability to lead, influence, align, and motivate diverse cross-functional teams and stakeholders (from individual contributors to executives) without direct reporting authority. Strong facilitation skills.
  • Process Development & Program Management: Demonstrated experience building, documenting, and scaling new processes and functions from the ground up. Strong planning, organizational, and execution skills; ability to manage multiple complex launches concurrently.
  • Builder Mentality:Entrepreneurial drive and comfort operating in ambiguity. Proven ability to establish structure, define clarity, and build something new and effective within a dynamic organization.
  • Channel & Partner Ecosystem Acumen: Solid understanding of various channel models (Resellers, Distributors, Strategic Alliances, OEMs) and experience incorporating partner readiness into GTM plans.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to grasp high-level business objectives, translate them into actionable GTM strategies, and utilize data to measure performance, identify insights, and drive informed decisions.
  • Communication Excellence: Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to articulate complex strategies, processes, and launch plans clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to thrive and lead effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving global environment. Positive attitude towards change and problem-solving.
  • Industry Knowledge:Experience in telematics, fleet management, IoT, logistics, or related automotive/transportation technology sectors is a significant asset.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of sales cycles, marketing funnels, pricing strategies, and financial metrics related to product launch success.
