GFL Environmental is looking for an G/DZ/AZ Commercial Box Truck Operator to join our growing liquid team out of our Brantford location. The Commercial driver will require a high level of motivation, professionalism, and customer service, which will be used to consistently build positive customer relationships and to promote GFL’s wide range of service offerings.

- Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections of trucks assigned.
- Complete daily routes as assigned by the Operations Manager
- Provide exceptional on-site service to customers and continuously promotes GFL’s service offerings.
- Operate a box truck, deliver products, and pick up commercial wastes such as oil filters, Plastics, drums of automotive fluids, as well as other related products. Also, service Parts washers/Spray Gun Machines
- Complete service paperwork in accordance with GFL and TDG regulations - Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of truck cab, components, and other assigned equipment.
- Participate in GFL’s safety programs including safety meetings, last minute risk assessments, and job hazard assessments.
- G/DZ/AZ Driver’s License with a clean drivers abstract
- DZ/AZ - Ability to drive manual transmission (Required)
- Available full-time for day shift (8-10 hour shifts)
- Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques
- Able to work independently.
- Customer service experience
- Self-motivated attitude
- Experience working in a safety sensitive environment.
- Ability to work out of town and do potential overnights.
- Must be flexible and dependable.
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in difficult situations.
- Overtime as required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Manual dexterity, ability to lift 75+ lbs required.
- Waste experience is considered an asset
