Job Description

We are currently searching for a Construction Technologist to join the Field Services team in our Edmonton office.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the Contractor’s operations to ensure compliance with contract terms, design specifications, and drawings.
  • Monitoring progress and schedules.
  • Preparing daily & weekly reports.
  • Maintaining projects records and site diaries.
  • Reviewing contractor work procedure submissions.
  • Monitoring of quality control testing.
  • Reviewing on-site quantities.
  • Contract Administration.
  • Coordinating with clients and sub-consultants.
  • Effectively and clearly communicating both verbally and in writing with clients, contractors, sub-consultants, and internal staff.

Job Requirements

What you will bring:

  • An undergraduate degree or diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution is considered an asset.
  • 3+ years of experience in Contract Administration and Site Inspection.
  • Experience with municipal infrastructure projects, from transportation improvements to water, sanitary, and storm main installations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness and ability to travel out of town around Alberta.
