This position works from our Calgary Field Law office supporting our Yellowknife team. Reporting to the Team Lead + Paralegal, Corporate Services, this role collaborates with professionals in their day-to-day work. The position requires client service, both internal and external; preparation of many types of legal documentation; overseeing the smooth flow of physical procedures within the Yellowknife office.
Duties + Responsibilities
Assisting Paralegal and Legal Assistants with physical files or paper prep for the team. Preparing Corporate packages per instructions provided by Alberta offices or the Yellowknife Partner which includes:

Duties + Responsibilities
- Receiving instructions.
- Receiving documents.
- Preparing package.
- Scanning packages.
- Scanning filed or returned documents.
- Reporting filed or returned documents.
- Reporting on Annual Returns.
- ALF database entry and updates, etc.
- Managing incoming and outgoing internal mail.
- Distributing incoming mail.
- Logging, scanning, and reporting mail that has been asked to remain in the Yellowknife office.
- Preparing outgoing mail packages via courier when necessary.
- Other tasks as required.
- 2 years of post secondary.
- Experience working in a law firm or a similar professional setting.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent follow-up and bring-forward skills.
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and handle high pressure deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Normal week-day office hours (35).
