P&D Delivery Driver

Job Summary:

Purpose of the position (the “why”): We are looking for a dedicated, responsible and energetic person to join our team as a permanent full-time driver. The successful candidate will be required to operate various types of vehicles such as trucks, vans and cars in a safe manner while transporting personnel and equipment within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). You must have a valid Class “DZ” license with a clean driving record and a proven track record of safety on the road.

Main responsibilities of the position (the “what”):

• Transporting goods, materials and personnel safely and efficiently between locations;
• Maintaining vehicle records such as fuel consumption, repairs, etc.;
• Performing pre/post trip inspections of vehicles before/after use;
• Assisting with warehouse duties such as loading/unloading material when needed;
• Keeping accurate records related to trips, deliveries, maintenance, etc.;
• Adhering to company policies and procedures at all times;
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  
  
  

Qualifications for the position (the “who”):

• Valid Ontario Class “DZ” license with a clean driving record;
• Proven experience operating heavy duty vehicles;
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs;
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including nights, weekends and statutory holidays;
• Willingness to travel as required;
• Comfortable working outdoors;
• Comfortable working in confined spaces;
