RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position Summary
The Tremplin Consortium recognizes the evolving landscape of career outcomes for graduate students and postdocs. Within this context, the Tremplin Consortium offers tailored professional and career development opportunities to biomedical trainees navigating dynamic changes in academic and industry jobs. Through a series of training sessions and activities, the consortium aims to equip trainees with the skills necessary to excel in various career paths. The incumbent will report directly to the Associate Director of the Desjardins Centre for Advanced Training and participate to activities of the Tremplin Consortium that are being led by the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre.
The incumbent will apply instructional strategies to adapt, create, implement, facilitate, and evaluate training programs (at least two different career development training programs). These programs aim to enhance the career and professional development of graduate students and postdocs who belong to the TREMPLIN McGill-Affiliated Consortium’s territories.

Required Skills
Status : Temporary Part-Time: 7-14 hours (contract for approximately 40 weeks)
Pay Scale: $27.32 - $50.74/hour (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
Work Shift: Flexible, however there is an expectation some hours will be complete during working hours 8:30 – 4:30pm and that the candidate is available during those hours to animate training.
Work Site: Hybrid

General Duties
Program Development And Continuous Improvement
- Participate in one full improvement cycle of the Future in Focus: Precision Medicine Career Insights and Discovery Program,
- Collaborate with the Tremplin McGill team to evaluate and revise program content and format,
- Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement of student-facing materials,
- Identify and develop new student recruitment strategies,
- Support the measurement and reporting of program success and learning outcomes.
- Coordinate and facilitate one program cohort of the Future in Focus initiative for McGill’s Tremplin network,
- Plan and manage session logistics, communication, and scheduling,
- Facilitate engaging, inclusive, and career-relevant sessions for participating students,
- Monitor participant progress and feedback, and provide reports to the supervising team.
- Facilitate one cohort of the CANTRAIN GPT Career Development Program (CDP) for the Tremplin network,
- Coordinate with local stakeholders and ensure smooth program delivery.
- Strong teamwork and attention to detail and accuracy,
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills,
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple assignments with high level of quality and productivity.

Education / Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Field of Study: Health or life science,
- Advanced training in education or commensurate experience preferred.
Required Skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions,
- Familiarity with online training platforms and virtual platforms for meetings and seminars,
- Working proficiency in both English and French an asset,
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure,
- Strong problem-solving skills.
