About The Role

  • The Stock Borrow and Lending business provides securities lending services to major international financial institutions
  • To support this business there are several core IT applications, and for this role, you will be focus on the post trade services such as loan settlement management.
  • Mainly Develop software on an SBL application suite (TradingApps, Navia, Global1) and its related products and services
  • Communicate with stakeholders, both within the business and in technology.
  • Work with a wide range of different technologies
  • Collaborate with teams across the Securities finance department

As our Full Stack Java Engineer, you will:

  • Understand business initiatives through regular interactions with project managers, business analysts and development managers.
  • Work closely with local and global development teams in overall solution design and technical design activities.
  • Deliver high-quality Java server-side software solution in a timely fashion. Any software developed is rigorously unit tested (including but not limited to automated unit tests), satisfies the requirements while adhering to the technical design and existing departmental standards and best practices for software development.
  • Provide bug fixing as needed throughout the project lifecycle.

What Your Day will Look Like

  • Daily team catchup
  • Meeting with business understanding work requirements
  • Production support and deliveries
  • Regular catchup within team to provide feedback and enhance processes

Requirements

You’ll likely have the following qualification to succeed in this role:

  • Strong knowledge of Java server-side
  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience of cloud related development
  • Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA, Spring Cloud, Sprint Boot, JMS/Messaging
  • Strong knowledge and comprehensive experience on development of micro-services
  • Experience in Kubernetes / docker container
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Ability to learn fast and rapidly assimilate new business requirements
  • Disciplined approach, able to follow process and suggest improvements where necessary

Skills highly preferred, but not mandatory:

  • Experience in developing GCP Looker report
