Reporting to the Kitchen Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for supporting the Kitchen Production Supervisor at producing the assigned products (BBQ, Sushi &/or other Cooked Foods) based on orders received, control quality, freshness, inventory and wastage.

T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 36 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 13 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

  • Produce the correct quantity of assigned products (BBQ, Sushi &/or other Cooked Foods) based on orders received
  • Perform production duties as assigned for various products (BBQ, Sushi &/or other Cooked Foods), which may include but not limited to:
    • Prepare various perishable food items such as vegetable, meat, fish, …etc.
    • Rice cooking, Vegetable/Meat/Fish cutting, Dish stir-frying , Deep Frying, Pan Frying…etc.
  • Control product (BBQ, Sushi &/or other Cooked Foods) quality, freshness, inventory level and wastage
  • Responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene, equipment and tools maintenance follow up along with workplace safety of the production area
  • Assist to answer customers’ enquiries
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure food safety, safe work procedures and do not engage in unsafe behavior
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior(s)
  • Accountable, pleasant and is able to take initiative
  • Possess knowledge and prior experience in cooking Kitchen products (BBQ, Sushi &/or other Cooked Foods)
  • Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety and food safety (Food Safe Certification requires)
  • Have a good understanding of tools & equipment relevant to the job
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organization, and problem-solving skills
  • A good team player
  • Flexible to work in various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, morning and evening hours
