The Mechanical Design Engineer III plays a key role in the Seeding Product Lines at CNH Industrial, working independently or as a team leader. This role involves designing products, improving existing solutions, and managing medium to large projects, while guiding junior engineers. Collaboration with cross-functional teams ensures high-quality designs and timely project completion. The engineer will conduct design analysis on components and assemblies, ensuring cost-efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability. Hands-on design development and verification are essential for success in this role.

- Design, develop and support the integration of vehicle components and/or subsystems for seeding equipment consistent with program objectives to support product launch.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to coordinate interrelated design and assure project completion.
- Lead design reviews and DFM/DFA processes to ensure manufacturing understanding and incorporate manufacturing feedback into successful industrialization of the completed design.
- Conduct and review design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process, ensuring designs are cost effective, manufacturable, and meet quality targets.
- Support prototype builds and actively engage in field operations related to the specific design.
- Develop, maintain, and release necessary system specifications and documentation to be used by both internal and external customers.
- Design new processes and improvements for product development.
- May confer with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
- May direct field testing of products and systems performed by field staff.
- May provide technical leadership and assist in training less experienced engineers.
- May forecasts operating costs of department and direct preparation of budget requests for specific projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, an Agricultural Engineering Degree with a focus in heavy machinery design may be considered.
- 6 years of relevant experience in Engineering Design
