About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Primary Care Paramedic is responsible for providing support to Physicians and nurses and assist in patient care. Duties include but are not limited to medication administration (within scope of practice) IV initiation and fluid administration, blood work, CPR urine analysis and pregnancy testing.

About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade XII required
- Completion of Primary Care Paramedic Certificate or equivalent
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with Emergency Health Services Nova Scotia (EHSNS) to practice
- Current BLS-C (HCP)
- Previous work experience in a hospital setting or in emergency care preferred
- Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment and telecommunications skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
- Temporary Full-Time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
- Approximately 6months Term
- Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends & holidays
$31.06 - $35.54 hourly
