THE OPPORTUNITY

Looking for a role doing what you love at a dynamic and innovative consulting firm? We are looking for a Proposal Writer to join our team in Kelowna or Vancouver BC on a permanent full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Read incoming requests for proposals.
  • Write proposals, RFP cover letters and executive summaries.
  • Participate in kick-off meetings, strategy session and proposal project planning.
  • Ensure win themes are articulated in a way to meet client’s expectations.
  • Collaborate with Discipline and Team Leads to articulate consulting services provided.
  • Support team throughout each component of the submission and evaluation process.
  • Undertake market research for kick off and solution meetings.
  • Assist the bid and project manager in developing a proposal structure.
  • Identify potential cross selling within disciplines.
  • Review and edit RFP responses from internal teams.
  • Identify and rework existing pre-written content where relevant.
  • Participate in the ongoing review and improvement of proposal content and standards.
  • Attention to detail and meticulous proof-reading skills.
  • Support team throughout each component of the submission and evaluation process.

  • Develop, maintain, and organize document management systems to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Review, edit, and format documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Ensure document version control and track changes to maintain up-to-date records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to collect, verify, and update essential documents.
  • Assist in creating templates, style guides, and documentation procedures.
  • Ensure document security and confidentiality by implementing proper access controls.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Provide training and support to staff on document management best practices.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary certificate or university degree is required.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a proposal writing role.
  • Engineering consulting industry experience considered an asset.
  • Deltek Vantagepoint experience an asset.
  • Strong work ethic with the desire to excel and achieve success for the firm, the client, and the team.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills along with exceptional time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven collaboration skills.
