Job description:

We are hiring an experienced SaaS Architect who is responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based software architectures that deliver high-performing, secure, and scalable SaaS applications. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, DevOps, etc.) to ensure the system aligns with business goals and technical requirements.

Job Duties & Accountabilities:
  • Design our solution such that it meets performance, scalability, and security requirements.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues, and use that information to optimize our designs.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks to build our products.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure and service costs, and ensure a cost-effective architecture that supports the product's growth.
  • Work closely with DevOps and regional teams to ensure smooth deployment processes, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and monitoring.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture decisions, deployment strategies, and technical guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software architecture, with at least 3 years focused on SaaS or cloud architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of the AWS cloud platform and SaaS deployment models.
  • Experience in network design, routing, load balancing, and distributed networks.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with multi-tenancy models and tenant isolation in SaaS applications
  • Knowledge of databases, storage and data management in cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in software security best practices.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time.
  • Ability to mentor and guide other engineers.

Assets (optional but beneficial):
  • You are a certified AWS Solutions Architect
  • Experience with designing medical software
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools.
  • Experience with Java/J2EE/Spring
  • Experience as System or Solution Architect in SAFe.
