The incumbent acts as Senior Analyst in the implementation of best practices to ensure the integrity and completeness of risk data for the Bank. He/she participates in the deployment of data quality improvement and reporting tools related to risk data management for the Bank.
He/she is also involved in the design and implementation of a single database for the disclosure of risk data.

The incumbent acts as Senior Analyst in the implementation of best practices to ensure the integrity and completeness of risk data for the Bank. He/she participates in the deployment of data quality improvement and reporting tools related to risk data management for the Bank.
He/she is also involved in the design and implementation of a single database for the disclosure of risk data.
Responsibilities
- Identify the data required for the various risk reports and meet OSFI requirements.
- Identify the data sources to be used to ensure the integrity and completeness of the information provided in the various reports.
- Ensure data reconciliation across various credit risk reports and identify required changes.
- Ensure that all data quality issues are identified and properly documented.
- Provide all necessary information to better support the Data Governance team and help find long-term solutions to ensure data integrity and completeness.
- Monitor and report on solutions implemented to resolve data-related issues.
- University degree in data science and business analytics, mathematics, physics, statistics, actuarial science, engineering, econometrics, finance or other related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years' relevant experience in data science or risk management.
- Relevant experience in data model development.
- In-depth knowledge of data science or data modeling.
- In-depth knowledge of database operations with SQL and the use of specialized statistical tools including SAS (EG and EM) and Tableau.
- Ability to influence and innovate in proposed solutions.
- Ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas.
- Knowledge of the banking industry, credit products in Canada and credit risk management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and meticulous.
- Bilingual* (French and English).
- Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
