As a Senior Staff Developer at Bally’s, you will leverage your technical expertise, extensive experience, and deep domain knowledge to provide strategic technical leadership across the Sports platform in North America. In this impactful role, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing platform performance, scalability, and reliability while ensuring alignment with the company’s overarching business objectives and long-term strategy.
Your contributions will extend beyond coding to encompass guiding architectural decisions, fostering innovation, and mentoring teams towards excellence. By collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will ensure that technical solutions are robust and adaptable to evolving market demands. Additionally, your influence will be integral to shaping best practices, driving process improvements, and championing the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to maintain Bally’s competitive edge in the industry.

- Mentoring and leading frontend teams, guiding technical discussions, and encouraging best practices.
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to align solutions with business goals and customer needs.
- Exploring and prototyping new technologies to assess benefits and viability for the web ecosystem.
- Establishing and enforcing coding standards and practices to enhance code quality and maintainability.
- Identifying performance improvements for fast, responsive, and accessible web applications.
- Influence stakeholders by acting as a role model and setting a positive tone within the team.
- Demonstrate resilience and solve complex problems in ambiguous situations.
- Possess Self-motivation to drive projects independently and mentor engineers for career growth.
- Communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends, adapt to changing technologies, and manage time to meet deadlines.
- Deliver high-quality code, explore innovative solutions, and understand the business impact of tech decisions.
- Apply expertise in Sportsbook platforms, sports data integration, and betting concepts while programming in Java, Typescript, and Kafka.
- Manage MySQL databases, utilize AWS cloud services, understand REST APIs, and work with microservices and distributed systems.
