Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Sonic Drilling Supervisor to join our team. Candidates with a demonstrated history of working to strict safety and quality standards in a Management capacity are strongly encouraged to apply.

About The Role

  • Provide ongoing coaching to develop your team.
  • Address any performance or conduct issues as they arise in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Co-ordinate and allocate work as required to meet drilling plans and run rates in the most cost effective/efficient way while meeting safety compliance requirements, including the co-ordination of relief team members as required.
  • Complete and approve daily rig reports to send to contracts administrators for payroll and client invoicing requirements.
  • Provide technical advice to staff to effectively manage rig operations.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings.
  • Liaise with the Project Leader regarding the progress of the drilling program.
  • Safety leadership and assisting team members with the development of thorough risk assessments and job safety analysis.
  • Report all safety hazards or workplace injury/illness to the client and management immediately.
  • Lead investigations of all incidents / hazard management issues that occur in the work area and on shift and ensure effective corrective actions are identified, implemented and monitored in a timely and productive manner.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive Sonic drilling experience at a Supervisory level.
  • Proven leadership ability.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Good communication skills – written and oral
  • First Aid/CPR required
  • H2S required
  • CSO required
