UX Research Co-op

Role Overview

At McAfee, we deliver AI-powered antivirus and privacy protection products to our consumers and partners by putting the customer at the forefront of everything we do. As a User Experience (UX) Research Co-op, you will strategically advance how McAfee ideates, builds, improves, and measures its consumer products. You will bring the power of empathy and data together to create extraordinary experiences that literally protect the world.

You will be working on live projects with the Consumer Products team. You’ll work with the team on UX research on product designs, learn about our design practices, and make recommendations about how we can improve.

This is an 8- month Co-Op position. This is a remote position based in Canada. We will only consider candidates in Canada and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About The Role

• Design and conduct user studies to gauge the perception and usability of new and existing product features.
• Make concrete, data-driven recommendations for change based on your findings.
• Communicate with team members throughout the process.
  
  

About You

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Master’s Degree (MA/MS/MBA/MFA) program
• Graduating between May 2026 to May 2028
• Relevant work/project experience in an applied research setting integrating user research into product designs and design practices
• Knowledge of statistics and principles of experiment design
• Must be authorized to work in Canada without restrictions (no visa sponsorship available) now or in the future
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
• Willingness to learn new tools to do user research
• Desire to learn from and share your knowledge with your team
