Guided by a volunteer Board of Directors, the organization delivers conferences, events, educational resources, and networking opportunities that strengthen digital services across the region.
The Role
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Office Manager serves as the organization's primary operational leader and strategic partner to the Board.
The role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, governance support, financial oversight, stakeholder management, strategic execution, and organizational leadership. In addition, the Executive Office Manager plans and manages MISA Prairies' in-person and virtual events, including its annual conference.
Working remotely, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with volunteer board members, proactively identify operational needs, and ensure continuity across all organizational functions.

Key Responsibilities
Organizational Leadership
- Lead the organization's day-to-day operations.
- Support the Board of Directors in achieving strategic objectives.
- Provide governance and executive support to the Board.
- Ensure operational continuity across the organization.
- Manage organizational risk and strategic initiatives.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all logistical aspects of MISA Prairies' in-person events.
- Manage virtual events from planning through execution.
- Coordinate conference logistics, excluding program development.
- Prepare post-event reporting and evaluations.
- Attend and oversee all in-person events on-site.
- Build strong relationships with Board members, volunteers, and stakeholders.
- Identify organizational gaps and proactively provide support.
- Collaborate with volunteer leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
Education
- High School Diploma with additional business administration or administrative training.
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Public Administration, Non-Profit Management, Governance, Communications, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
- 5–7 years of progressively senior experience in:
- Operational management.
- Executive support.
- Governance.
- Organizational leadership.
- Experience working directly with a Board of Directors.
- Experience within nonprofit, membership-based, or association organizations preferred.
- Experience managing at least three events as an Event Manager or equivalent.
- Knowledge of nonprofit association operations.
- Project management.
- Financial management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Computer proficiency.

Applicants are requested to provide:
- An hourly rate for regular work.
- A flat daily rate for in-person meetings, conferences, and events.
Contract / Fractional
Workload Varies Throughout The Year
- Approximately 10 hours per week during quieter periods.
- 40+ hours per week leading up to and during the annual conference.
- Remote, home-based position.
- Required to travel and be on-site for conferences and other in-person events.
