Who We Are Looking For

Cut+Dry has developed an industry-leading product to bring food distributors online, increase their sales, and future-proof their businesses. In this role, you will build features and enhance the current experience of apps built for food distributors and restaurant operators. We want a developer who doesn't just write code, but leverages the latest in AI-driven development to increase velocity, quality, and innovation.

As a Senior Software Engineer you will work with our customer facing teams to develop industry leading experiences for Restaurants, Distributors, and Manufacturers. Internally, you will work closely with other engineers, product managers, product marketers and our executive team. You will also have the opportunity to interact directly with our customers and see your work in real world situations.

Responsibilities
  • Works closely with the product team to develop high-quality code to meet product requirements.

  • Integrates AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development cycles and improve code quality.

  • Writes effective technical user stories and ensures non-functional requirements like performance and scaling are met.

  • Actively resolves defects and manages technical debt while leveraging AI for automated bug detection and refactoring.

  • Practices DevOps methods like CI/CD, SDLC automation, and proactive monitoring.

  • Identifies opportunities to implement LLMs or AI features within our platform to enhance the user experience for distributors and restaurants.

  • Participates in code reviews, design discussions, and paired programming.

  • Evaluates emerging AI technologies continually to identify trends and best practices to strengthen Cut+Dry development practices.

Mandatory Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or 4-5 years of relevant developer experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in developing high-performance, scalable applications in an agile environment.

  • Expert-level proficiency in leveraging AI workflows (LLMs, prompt engineering for code, or AI-integrated IDEs) to enhance personal and team productivity.

  • Extensive hands-on experience in modern programming languages: Java, JavaScript, PHP, React, Python, Graphql, MySQL.

  • Strong experience building and deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS.

  • Fluency in DevOps, including CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
